Tips For Dealing With Anxious Thoughts | Anxiety

Hey guys!
So to follow up from my "HOW TO ACHIEVE POSITIVE THINKING" post. I thought I would give you an update on other things that help with my anxious thoughts.

My Anxiety Background... 
I just want to state that everybody has their own thought processes, so things that may work for someone else may not work for you!
My main anxious thoughts are obviously what other people think about me. For Example, I may be on my own waiting for a train, and all I will think about is what people are thinking of me. The kind of thoughts that come to mind are; "That man over there knows I am uncomfortable standing on my own", "Those group of girls are looking at me, they must hate what I'm wearing". Now many of you will probably say you get those general negative thoughts yourself and that it's normal. I agree with that. But sometimes the thoughts get worse and worse. They seem to eat into my mind, making me feel more anxious, making me look more anxious, therefore I'm conscious if people can tell. My breathing tends to speed up if I'm in a situation in which I'm really nervous and I get close to a panic attack if I don't calm myself down. 

The only thing that helps with any anxious situation is if I deal with the negative thoughts before they build into something much bigger then they need to be..

Tip 1... You're not a mind reader 
This is my MAIN problem! I seem to think I'm a magical mind reader that can tell what everyone is thinking of me, of course that is not true. 
I bet (and know) that most things you think people are thinking about you are NOT true. 

Tip 2... Distract Yourself
My theory is that people play around on their mobile phones in public to avoid being awkward. lol..
I think if you find something that can distract yourself from the negative thoughts, you won't have negative thoughts (see how simple that is) 
For Example; say you're nervous for a date, and your negative thoughts are becoming overwhelming.. before your date gets to you.. ring a friend instead of pacing up and down nervously in silence waiting for your date! Chatting to friends or someone close tend to help negative thoughts :).  I also think of something funny to myself sometimes, it helps LOL. 

Tip 3... Challenge The Thoughts
This is similar to tip no. 1. 
Are you really going to fail that test you've studied hard for? What facts do you have to prove he doesn't like you?
Think to yourself, is it negative thinking that's making you think that way or actual truth?

Tip 4... Challenge yourself
This leads up from tip no. 3. maybe there's something your feeling anxious about because you've never tried it. What if you went on that plane even though you're scared of flying.. that would mean you could go a plane again?
I need to work on this tip myself, I know that the things I have challenged myself to do have helped with my anxious thoughts to do it again.

Tip 5.. Breath!
If you are becoming overwhelmed with anxious thoughts I suggest you breath. In through the nose, out through the mouth isn't it??
Maybe look up breathing techniques, this may help distract you from your thoughts. AKA Tip no. 2.

I really hope some of these tips help you! I'm sorry if I have repeated myself from any previous posts. (If I have that means the tips really work ;) )

Things I want To Buy On Pay Day #5

1. Canon Powershot SX170

I have been looking for a camera to take blog pictures with since my other one had broke. My friend has this camera and so I borrowed it and loved how easy it was to use. This camera sells at it's cheapest for £84. It might not be a DSLR, but this camera is really good for the price.

2. Miss Dior Perfume

I love this perfume, but it's so expensive! Dior do an eu de toilette and eu de perfume version of this fragrance. So the price ranges from £54! 

3. Xen Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe  

Ever since Anna raved about this tan I've been wanting to get my hands on it! I have tried a few other Xen Tan products, but this one is meant to be the best one. At £28.99, it's much pricier than my much loved St Moritz.

June Favourites 2014

Hey guys! So It's been a while since I've done a favourites post! I've seen a lot of them going around this month, and thought I would share what I've been loving. 
I was able to borrow my friends camera to take photos for this post, and should hopefully have my own one at the end of this month. (yay) 

For skincare I have been loving the Vitamin E range from Body Shop. I have added the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner to my collection. I have really dry skin and avoid products that dry my skin out. Toners are known to dry the skin out, but this one doesn't. It has a pleasant smell, the texture is nice and refreshing.
For lips I've been using two products. The Blistex lipbalm in Raspberry Lemonade Blast- it smells and tastes delicious! (lol). I have also been loving the Lloreal Glam Shine lip crayon (I can't find the shade) This is a "my lips but better" colour and this product is really moisturizing! The finish is in between a lipstick and lipgloss.

I bought a perfume this month that is a great dupe for Miss Dior and Next Diamonds. This is the Katie Price perfume in Stunning.. yes.. Katie Price (don't judge!) The smell of this perfume brings back memories, and isn't too pricey. This 30ml bottle is a little one to carry around in my handbag.
Talking about what I'm carrying around in my handbag, I have kept my Soap And Glory Hand Food in there. I repurchased this hand cream after a long time, and love it! The soap and glory smell is a little similar to the Katie Price perfume!

For eyes I have been using the Falsh Lash Effect mascara (after a blogger did a review on it and recommended it.) I don't know about anyone else, but some mascaras make me cringe when I use them, I think it's something to do with the brush. But the brush of this mascara is completely fine. I think this mascara is really easy to use and helps avoid that clumpy look.
Finally I have been using a Rimmel Blush (after it being in my makeup drawer for like forever) The shade isn't "too pink" and doesn't go all patchy like some of my blushers.

Also a favourite of mine.. wait for it.. Big Brother. Yes I know it's a little old now, but I'm personally loving it this year. I didn't watch the previous two years and so too me it's more new.

Summer and Florals OOTD

For those of you that don't follow me on Instagram, I thought I would share my outfit from yesterday.
The weather has been amazing here in the UK, and it's a great excuse to get the legs out LOL.
The flower headband is from Primark. The shorts are from Boohoo.CLICK HERE FOR LINK
The necklace is also from Boohoo, in the sale. The black vest top was a random one from my wardrobe, and the shoes were actually a pair I was trying on in New Look.

Sorry it's just another basic post, but I'm hoping to start blogging properly again next month.
