Body Shop Vitamin E Range

Hey!
So I have been using the Body Shop's Vitamin E range for about 6 months now, and LOVE it. I don't really have what you call a skin care routine,I just find the odd products I like within the moment.
My friend recommended this range from Body Shop to me, I'm so glad she did! I actually only own 3 items from the range at the moment. I did have the Gentle face wash, but I used it up!
Everything I have tried from this range has been really gentle on my skin. I have kind of sensitive dry skin.

I use the Vitamin E moisture cream daily before I apply my makeup and sometimes at night. This sinks into my skin within a minute or so and really nourishes my dry skin. This doesn't make my skin sticky or oily, it just helps to prevent my makeup caking up. I have repurchased this 3 times now, can you tell I like it? I have mentioned the Vitamin E Face Mist before on my blog. I don't use this on a daily basis, but it has been really nice to use on these hot days when I have a face full of makeup! The Vitamin E Hydrating Toner is also really refreshing. I use this every other day to really cleanse my skin. As it's a hydrating toner, it doesn't dry out my skin like a normal one would.

Have you tried this range?

October Favourites 2014

Hey guys!
As I am in the blogging mood I thought I would share what I've been loving this month.
It was my birthday on the 24th and so a favourite of mine was my the dress I wore. I'll link it HERE
Anyways let's get onto the products;

Loreal Bronzer Shade 00
This was given to me as a small gift. ( My friend uses this bronzer and it looks amazing on her) I have tried a few bronzers on my pale(ish) skin and this is by far the best I've used. Some bronzers are too orange or don't show up at all unless I layer it. This one is the perfect colour for my skin tone and gives me a lovely bronzed look. This is mostly matte and so can be used for contouring!

Collection Concealer in Cool Medium
This is an old favourite repurchased. They now do more options to choose from (rather than just light/medium/dark) I have tried more expensive versions of this product but they never seem to be as good.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir
I have wanted this "beauty spray" for ages after reading some amazing reviews! I finally caved in and bought it at a random beauty stand in Topshop. I tend to spray this before and after my makeup to give me more of a dewy glow. I am still testing this out, but so far so good! There will be a full review coming soon.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
I bought this a few months ago and honestly forgot about it! My skin was getting quite dry because of the cold weather change and this product has brought my skin back to life. This has helped keep my skin moisturized and plump.

Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
I thought I would give this hair oil a try and mostly love it. For those frizzy hair holders out there give this oil a try to keep your hair smoother with the added bonus of heat protection.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
This is the translucent version of the powder (no colour). I rarely get oily skin, but when I have had some oiliness around my T zone I have been using this to cover it up, but also keep my makeup looking nice.

Have you tried any of these products?!

Things Aren't Always As Bad As They Seem...

Hey guys!

About 2 years ago, my mind seemed to produce the most negative thoughts about every little thing. I couldn't seem to control that little voice in my head telling me what I really didn't need to hear. This started for almost no reason! Some of the smallest things would be overly exaggerated. If I wasn't invited out on the odd occasion with my group of friends I would secretly freak out wondering.. "why didn't they invite me?!" "Do they like hanging out with my anymore?!""Am I becoming boring or something". Looking back now I see the situation totally different. Maybe they didn't invite me because I was working. I thought they stopped making effort, but maybe I stopped also.
My mind would play tricks on other really silly things. Like little comments people would say to me I would over think them until I was convinced they were meant to be portrayed in a negative way.  Basically I was freaking out over the smaller things that people deal with in every day life.

The point of the paragraph above is that things aren't always what they seem. If a person you meet for the first time is really quiet, do you immediately think they dislike you? Maybe they're actually shy..
There's many situations I could make up, and really it's the "glass half full/half empty" decision in everyday life. Do you really want to give up looking for a job because you didn't get that one interview? Maybe it wasn't meant to be!
I'm not trying to say that you have to walk around pretending it's sunny and you've won a million pounds. I'm trying to say don't let that negative voice win. Is what you're thinking more opinion rather than fact?

There must be someone you know that moans about life, thinking the worst things are happening to them and you're like..

Just think to yourself. There's always going to be someone dealing with something just as bad or worse. Is your situation worth worrying about?!

Xen Tan Absolute Luxe Review

buy from Feel Unique for £28.99

Hey guys, so another honest fake tan review! I have had this tan for quite a few months now and think it's time to give my honest opinion.

Lets start off with the positives. The packaging is something I really like about this tan. It's very travel friendly because it's a tube instead of a pump, this also means you will be able to get every last bit of product out. I feel the design of the packaging does make it look luxurious, I mean for the amount you pay for this tan you'd expect that! The smell of the tan is also something I really like. It's not your typical biscuit smell, it's more of a sweet vanilla ( maybe cherry bake-wells) this makes it bearable for you to sleep at night with it on.
Another thing I really love about this tan is the colour .After you have washed off the base shade, you're then left with a nice olive brown which makes it look really natural.

Now to get onto what I'm not so happy about with this tan. Firstly the application can be quite a messy and uncertain process. I have used many tans, but I find if you haven't prepared your skin the right way or don't have the right mit you're going to end up in a right patchy mess. This tan is not for a tanning newby. The lotion is very moisturizing, but I find it can get quite sticky easily when applying, this can lead to an uneven application. If you do manage to apply this tan ok, you are left with a gorgeous tan for about 2 or 3 days. After the first few days my skin starts to go patchy quickly. Currently I'm writing this review on day 5 and my skin is looking horrible. I was expecting this tan to be very long lasting, but it doesn't fade nicely at all. It might be because I'm naturally pale and so the tan is separating from my natural skin tone, but I don't expect this quite pricey tan to fade so badly.

I have read other reviews on the absolute luxe and lots of people seem to love it?! I do like it to tan for a night out to get a nice colour for a day or two. But if you wana use a tanner as part of your weekly tanning routine I wouldn't go for this one (especially if you're pale) I prefer St Moritz it's like a 1/5 of the price!!  Have you tried this brand?

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation | Winter Makeup Routine 2014

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation in NW 20

Hey guys sorry I've been a bit MIA on the whole blogging thing (again) I always stop blogging when I don't enjoy it. Therefore you should always get posts I'm interested in writing!
Some of you may know that I am a foundation "whore". I use a different foundation everyday usually because I can never find a foundation I like completely. My newest foundation to my collection is the pro longwear one by Mac. Now I was smart this time and actually got a tester before I purchased this because I always seem to waste my money on buying foundations on chance.
This foundation however I LOVE. I have literally been wearing this every day and actually got some compliments from people whilst wearing this. I decided on trying this foundation because of the longwearing capabilities and the fact I know my perfect shade in the Mac foundations.

Coverage: I would say this is medium coverage. This foundation can easily be layered to become a full coverage.

Finish: Now for the last few years I've always gone for a dewy finish, but this one is more matte. I would say this is semi matte as I'm able to wear this even with really dry skin! I do however sometimes have to use a finishing spray when my skins having a very dry skin day.

Longevity: This foundation is very longwearing! I can wear this all day without it going all horrible and patchy

Price: I think this is about £23. Easily the average I pay for foundation anyways. This may seem quite pricey to some.

At the moment this is my everyday foundation. I think its quite similar to the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light but I think the shade of the Mac foundation and coverage is more of what I was looking for.  I give this foundation 4.5 out of 5! Woah right?
I have been wearing the Body Shop Honey Bronzer, liquid liner and red lipstick to finish off my wintery/Autumnal look.

Have you tried this foundation??

September Faves 2014

From left to right; Naked palette, Rimmel lipstick no. 107, Kiko lip liner no. 309, Loreal lumi magique highlighter, Seventeen liquid eyeliner and Vera Wang lovestruck.

The Naked Palette has become a regular in my daily makeup routine. I have especially been loving the eyeshadow called "sin" it's a great light colour for a more awake and fresh eye.
I have been also loving the combo of the Rimmel Lipstick 107 with the Kiko Lip Pencil in the shade 309.  These go really well together and I think the lipstick wears so much better when I use this lip pencil with it!
When I want to brighten up my under eye area, I've been reaching for the Lumi Magique from Loreal concealer/highlighter. I haven't seen many bloggers talk about this product, but it's a great dupe for the YSL Touch Eclat.  I have one holy grail liquid eyeliner that I've fallen back in love with (can you actually do that with a beauty product?!) I have been through my fair share of liquid eyeliners, but nothing has beaten the Seventeen Liquid Eyeliner.  Finally I have been using a new perfume this month which has been Vera Wang Lovestruck. This is quite a sweet yet not to strong perfume. I do love the smell, but I'm a little upset about the longevity and so I keep it i my bag to spritz every now and then.

Sorry it's not a very exciting post today. I'm going through that phase again where I've been busy working and so didn't have any motivation to write blog posts..
As always if you have any blog post ideas feel free to leave them in the comments, or tweet me @laurablog2013 :)

My New Fave Autumn Lipstick | Rimmel 107

Hey guys! So I've never been a fan of the dark lip. I always thought it was for halloween or for goths, how very small minded of me. I thought I would give the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick 107 a go because I thought it looks really nice on many people and Autumn is approaching.
I tried it on and instantly got compliments from my friends and family, they said how much it suited me and gave me a different look. I am in love with this lipstick, it's defo a difference from the typical pink lip I usually wear.

As you can see (from the poorly lightened selfie) it is a kind of berry red colour. For me the more you apply, the darker the lipsick. I wore it on a night out last night and it lasted almost the whole night, it didn't really need touching up! I am really loving this new look. :)

Review: PicStick Photo Magnets & Discount Code!

Hey guys! So today's post is a little different.
The company Pic Stick contacted me a couple a days ago to ask if I was interested in trying out their photo magnets*. Now I have been contacted by many companies throughout my time blogging, but this had caught my eye and I thought why not.
Whilst browsing their website, I was shocked that you get 9 photos magnets with one purchase from Pic Stick. The hard part was picking which photos, as I was thinking about giving these as gifts but also keeping some for myself. The process for ordering was REALLY easy as you can see from the images below.

These photo magnets arrived the next day after ordering, yes.. the next day. For me this was amazing service and I was happy with the way the item was packaged. The individual magnets came as one block of 9, which was easy to separate. I think if you're looking for a cute little gift or stocking filler this could be great. I know I'll be using these magnets as a cool way to show off my Instagram pictures!  If you're interested in this cute little idea, you can get 25% off with the code ABOUT25
The website is www.picstick.com if you're interested.

How Much Do You Depend On A Mirror?

Hey guys, so last week a girl from my school shared another girls status on Facebook (also from my school) about mirrors and that she had been writing blog posts..? Someone I know from school also writes a blog!!
So I did the only normal thing and found her blog to have a little read.. #stalker
This girl is pretty, really nice (from what I can remember) and is also slim and tall, yet her blog told a totally different story! I was shocked at what I read.
She is suffering from depression, and has a poor perception of her body image, trust me if you knew her you'd be shocked. It goes to show that you could be the most amazing person, yet be in such a dark place.People can also be ignorant without realizing.  All I want to do is contact her to give her advice, and ask her to take a read of my blog to help out with some of the anxiety.

As I read onto the more recent blog posts, she said she is going to cover mirrors, and avoid looking at any reflections of her body. Now I wanted to do this a few years ago, I had read an article on this, it said how much it can help your self esteem, but I chickened out. The fact that I would have to do my hair and makeup mirrorless would be quite difficult. This brings me on to the point of this blog post.....
How much do you depend on a mirror?!
I think so many people are obsessed with the way they look. Trust me I can be one of those people. I have written a blog post about self image CLICK HERE TO HAVE A READ. Some people have so much pressure (like this girl) within their career, and they do all they can to look perfect. You will have to remember that when YOU look in the mirror, it's how YOU perceive yourself, not others. OK, you might have a dodgy frizzy updo, but some people may think it looks cute and qwirky, whilst others may think it looks messy, whilst you may think you look like you just woke up. Sometimes you can be a little harsh on yourself, so don't let that mirror own you. Although I do say that and mean it, I have a mirror in my house in which I call the "truth" mirror. This is the one that shows every flaw, and so if I look nice in that mirror I feel like I actually look nice. Do any of you do that?

So.. how much do you look in the mirror. Do you freak out when you don't look the way you wanted or thought?
I'd love to hear your opinions in the comments ;)

The No Foundation Face

Bronzer: Body Shop Honey Bronze shade 3. Blusher: Body Shop. Highlighter: MAC Soft And Gentle

I have a slight, near unhealthy obsession with foundation. To cut the awkward sob story down- I had spots, I hated my skin, foundation made me feel prettier...
I have worn foundation to every "out of house" place for the last 5/6 years, and recently I have just thought f**k it, I'm not going to bother with foundation! To be honest I haven't ever found a foundation that I have perfectly liked AKA holy grail. There's always something wrong, either it goes patchy, it doesn't match my skin, it makes my skin looks oily, makes my skin look dry, oxidizes, or makes me look worse than I did without the foundation. And so I have been brave and done the smaller outings almost bare faced, and you know what, I survived!
I have been experimenting with other skin makeup products that could accentuate my skin and make it glow without the use of foundation! The best thing is not having the feeling of foundation of my skin it makes such a difference. The 3 keys things needed are bronzer, blusher and highlighter. As you can see from the photos above, I have 3 favourites.

I know this post can seem a bit vain and obsessed with makeup, but I'm sure some of you guys would understand the deeper meaning. Makeup is like a mask for me sometimes.
Do you brave leaving the house without makeup?

Is University Really Worth It & Following your dreams

OK, I feel like I might get some slack for writing this blog post, but please understand these are just my opinions, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions right?
Lets start of with the question you're probably all thinking at this point "Did Laura go to uni?" No I didn't, I did do my A levels and was actually talked out of going to uni by my parents! It does upset me sometimes when I have told people that, most parents would be proud if their daughter or son decided to study more, not mine. I mean my parents did have their reasons, they didn't go to uni themselves and so they're not all about being majorly academic. They both work full time and manage to afford to live. I guess they don't know me well enough. They don't know how much I wanted to take psychology, and learn to write so that I could write a novel or write for a magazine. Now some of you may be thinking, "What's stopping you Laura, you can still go to uni now, don't let your parents stop you" This statement is right.
This is where I come to my next point - is uni actually really worth it?

image from http://weheartit.com/entry/group/202662
I currently work full time and earn an good enough wage. The job and company I work for has a mixture of people working for them. Some left school at the age of 16, some did their A levels like me and quite a few of them have uni degrees!! All those people that have studied for years, and ranked up a huge loan are doing the same job as me. Now I guess it takes time to find your job in your required field, but these days I believe that unless you want to be a doctor, a dentist, a lawyer or some degree required field, you could be wasting your time. I am trained well with computers, I took extra qualifications as well as doing double IT in my A levels, yet I couldn't get a computer job because I lacked experience (being only 18 at the time). I have known people for years that cannot get a job because of experience and that's what I believe makes you stand out to the next candidate. I believe everyone's paths are different, maybe you want or have been to uni for the experience. I am sure that's one of the main reasons I wanted to go. So if you're asking is uni really worth it?, well for me it probably is a mixed yes and no, and for you, that's for YOU only to decide.

At the moment I'm semi happy with my job, sometimes I hate it, sometimes I like it. I get to use computers and I know I'm good at my job. I know that if I wanted to study that bad there are online uni courses that I could take. If you're not sure about uni, there's always going back at a later date. You can go when you're 25, 26,27. You don't have to go when you're 18. My only advice would be choose wisely what subject you take because if you can't use all that hard work in a job in later life, it will have been a waste of time.
I have mentioned before, but this blog is a way for me to write as well as be more imaginative. My path is my own, I've seen where other peoples blogs take them and it just motivates me to carry on. Everyone has to start somewhere. I am not following my dreams as much as I could do because I'm scared, yep I said it! I have been put down for doing things outside my comfort zone before and I will only do the safe things. My advice would be, if you're young make the most of it because you can try different things and not be like "that's my job for the rest of my life"

What are your dreams for the future, and what do you think about uni?!

Recent Purchases | Mini Haul

Hey guys, as it's pay day time I made a few purchases.
I needed some new, yet nice everyday ankle boots and spotted these cute ones in Miss Selfridge, they cost £38 which i think is good if I get a lot of wear out of them! I did a blind buy for perfume and bought the Rise perfume by Beyonce. In some reviews online people said it smelt like YSL Manefesto (which I LOVE but is too expensive to buy ATM) That is why I went for the Beyonce one for only £10!!! I do like the smell of this perfume and do liken it to the YSL one BUT it does smell a little more mature and quite woody with some vanilla.
I've been after the Xen Tan Absolute Luxe for AGES. I have read so many reviews and watched so many Youtube videos regarding this fake tan and have lusted for it! This is meant to be a really long lasting olive tan which sounds perfect for me.. wait for the review in a couple of weeks :) I bought the Body Butter from Soap and Glory from Boots. Soap and glory are amazing for body stuff and don't fail with this one, I love the smell. Finally I bought two outfits from Ebay.. yes Ebay. Now some of you may be judging me right now for that or saluting me, I don't know..
But anyways I found an exact copy of the Michelle Keegan dress from Lipsy. The real one retails for £60 HERE and a picture of Michelle Keegan wearing the dress can be seen HERE. I have tried on the real one in a Lipsy store and let me tell you it's a clothing dupe! I paid £20 for this dress, and as I only wear dresses once or twice I think it's a bargain! The exact one I bought was from HERE.
I also bought a coral embellished playsuit and unfortunately it has dissapointed me. Let me be honest, I bought a size bigger because I'm quite tall and yet.. I .... Still.. Get.. Camel toe :( Weep!! I think if I was shorter it would look so cute! You can look at the playsuit better by clicking HERE

Anyways that's my mini haul, I don't know about anyone else but it's REALLY hard for me to show and photograph clothing.

Do you buy any clothing from Ebay?

Blusher VS Bronzer

Does anyone else have the dilemma whether to wear blusher or bronzer? I'm talking about on a daily basis and so I personally find it a bit too much to wear both. I like the look of them both individually on me and wanted to share my favorite bronzers and blushers and let you be the judge of what looks the best!

My top bronzers are; Bourjois chocolate bronzer, Mac bronzer in golden and Bobby Brown shimmer brick. I have a love/hate relationship with the Mac and Bourjois ones because I find them quite subtle and it seems to take a lot of work for them to show up on my skin?! I love the Bobbie Brown shimmer brick because it's a bronzer and highlighter in one. It's great to wear on a night out, I can't believe that I dropped it and ruined it though :(.
My top blushers are; Mac Stay Pretty, Body Shop blusher, Benefit Coralista, Sleek nude blush, and Sleek blush in Rose Gold. I think my favorites out of these are Mac Stay Pretty and the sleek nude blush. For me when I wear a blusher I want to look refreshed.

Which do you prefer to wear??

The Red Bandanna

Ahh yes new trend alert (I'm probably a few months too late.)  But have you seen people wearing bandannas recently?! I saw Zoella wear one recently in her video and thought it looked really cute!
I bought mine from ebay which cost max £2 so really cheap!  What do you think about the whole bandana look? I have to admit I've not been confident enough to wear one out in public just yet! x

Ps. sorry about the photo's, they were taken with a proper camera but came out weird when I tried to edit them.

Tips For Growing Your Hair

Hey guys. So since I had my hair cut to a horrible length a few years ago,  I've longed for longer hair.
I have been through the phase of covering up the length by wearing hair extensions, and now I think my hair is finally at a length I like! I have found a few personal tips that have helped, and I wanted  to share.

Let's start of with the whole regular hair cuts business. I was told for years by my hair dresser that my hair will grow longer/quicker if I got my hair cut every few weeks. Now the truth is that it's half true. I did keep getting regular cuts, but because my hair grows so slow, it was getting shorter and shorter! I had to make a choice. Either have shorter but healthy hair, or have longer hair with slightly thinner ends. So when I say it's half true, I mean having ends that are breaking are not making my hair be any longer because the ends are breaking off anyways. I have spoken to a few people and friends that have lovely long hair. Each of them have told me different things, whilst one of my friends get regular cuts, the other friend gets their hair cut once a year. It all depends on the person. I have found my personal hair cut schedule and that's to cut it every 6 months.  I have to admit my hair gets the thinner on the ends the longer it gets, but I love long hair, and you will notice that every persons hair will be different the long it gets.

Once you've got your hair cutting schedule sorted, you need to think hair care products! Things you use on your hair make a massive difference. I personally try to use a hair mask once or twice a week. My hair is extremely dry and needs moisture to look remotely nice and to stay healthy. One of my favourites is the Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery mask. I also recommend using some kind of hair oil treatment, one of the best is Coconut Oil. I have done a review on it if you click HERE
When You shampoo and condition the hair, you should massage the scalp. Ye ye ye you must have been told this or read this many times, but it works! I have always massaged my fringe/bangs with shampoo to make sure there is no grease (as it gets greasiest first) and guess what, that part of my hair has always grew the longest/fastest.

Another thing you should think about is your diet! I have always disliked many fruits and vegetables because I'm a fussy eater, but I do my best to eat what I can. At one point I did take the Skin, Hair and Nails vitamins, to be honest I couldn't tell if they worked or not. I kept forgetting to take the tablets and so gave up in the end. If you look online, you will find many reviews on vitamins that have helped hair growth. For me I just say eat healthier.

Now they are the main things you should do to your hair. But there's always the things you should avoid. Ah yes.. heat damage. One of the things I have limited is the use of is my hair straighteners. I used to use them every day, and couldn't understand why the ends of my hair were just snapping off. Nowadays I only use straighteners if I HAVE to, which is now 3/4 times a week. If you are using any kind of heat on your hair,  make sure you use a heat protectant, I love the Tresemme Keratin one. I would also say be careful on what hair bands you use on your hair, some rip the hair out! I love the thin ones from Primark.

So yea, there are some tips that you've probably hear many times over. But I wanted to give my own personal spin on them. I just want to say that it takes time for hair to grow. I have tried gimmicky things like the F.A.S.T shampoo ( Google it ) and guess what it doesn't work!
Do you have any tips for hair growth?

2 In 1 Beauty Products

Hey guys! You've probably seen this kind of thing done before, but I wanted to give my take on it!

1. Imperial Leather Foamburst
I bought this product because I wanted a change from shower gel. Little did I know when using it, it comes out like shaving foam. Those of you that use a shaving foam and shower gel, save your money and buy this product. It's a 2 in 1!
2. La Roche Posey Hydreane Riche
This is technically a moisturizer, but it is also a good primer (as it states on the packaging) The consistency is like a thick cream.
3. Soap And Glory Bright Here Bright Now
This product can be used before makeup application to make your foundation look a little more dewy and refreshed. This also can be used as a liquid highlight on the tops of your cheekbones etc.
4. Clinique eyeliner
This can be used as and eyeliner or eye shadow. The product has 2 ends, one for smudging and one eye line.
5. Kiko Velvet Stick Blush
Now I have mentioned this product within my "products I regret buying" post BUT there are many products sold like this that can be used as a blush or lip product.
6. Loreal Lip Balm/Crayon
This is so moisturizing, so can be used just as a lip balm. If you layer it on you can use it as more of a lip gloss.
7. Benefit Brow Zing
Now I'm kind of cheating with this one, but you can use the powder part of this palette as an eyeshadow!
8.MAC Fix+
This can be used as a setting spray or to dampen your makeup brushes before use.

Do you have any multipurpose beauty items?

So, You Have Writers Block...

Ahh yes, the dreaded bloggers "writers block". I get it very often, I would say every few months. I run
out of ideas, or when I have ideas I don't feel inspired to express them over my blog. I have thought of a few ideas/tips just to help those that have ran out of ideas and need some inspiration.

1. Listen to your favourite music through your laptop
I am the type person to be on my laptop whilst watching TV. For some of you that might seem weird, others it may seem normal. I have noticed a massive blog motivation improvement when I turn off the TV and just listen to music!

2. Keep A list
Do you ever think of blogging ideas just before you fall asleep, or randomly travelling around? I DO! I keep a list on my Iphone within the notes section. This helps because I have started to collect a bunch of ideas for when I don't have ideas ;)

3. Do a tag
If you like to be a regular blogger yet you have no ideas, do a tag! I wouldn't recommend doing too many tags because that can get quite repetitive and boring, but the odd tag helps your readers get to know you.

4. It's ok to steal ideas...sometimes
Even though I personally like to be unique with my blog posts, there's probably posts I've done that other people have done 100's of times. If you go onto someones blog and LOVE a post of theirs, why not ask the blogger if they mind you doing your own take on the post?

5.Google Ideas
Now if you're really stuck, Google can be your best friend. Many bloggers like Lily have done posts on "blog post ideas". Like literal lists!!

6.Get another blogger to write a post for you
Now I guess this is cheating, but it can sometimes help. Maybe contact a blogger you like and see if they'd like to do a collab or a post on your blog. It may inspire you for your next post.

7. Take pictures
Yes literally take pictures. It could be of your face, your room, outside, anything. Once you look back at the photo it may inspire you. If you take a picture of your face, you could use it for a makeup post or talk about the facial expression..  anything, you can find so many post ideas from one picture.

8. Take a break
If you don't have anything you want to blog about, then don't. I don't mean that in a harsh way, but there's nothing worse than reading a post someones written "for the sake of it". I feel like after a break I become really motivated to blog again.

Do you have any other tips that help with writers block?!

A New Blog Schedule

I've done this whole schedule thing before, and failed MASSIVELY at it. I thought I would give it another go as I'm back onto the whole blogging scene again and still have some lovely people that come back to my blog. Thank you to those of you that support "Laura Thinks About" It's something that I can call a hobby, and love doing it.
I have written this before, but some of the more famous and bigger bloggers out there seem to have a schedule in which their readers know if and when there will be a new post and sometimes what could feature on it. Working along side the #bbloggers tag, I thought I would post twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays. Sundays will be the more beauty/hair/fashion posts eg. A product review. Whilst Wednesdays will feature more lifestyle posts which could be talking about my day, updates and chatting about more serious matters.I hope this will work and I keep to it (fingers crossed!)

If you have any blog post ideas/requests, or would like to collab please don't hesitate to contact me :)
Thanks guys! xx

How To Make Blue/Green Eyes Stand Out

Heyy, so I don't know about you, but I love to make my eyes stand out! There are many ways to make your eyes stand out depending on what eye colour you have. You've probably read many posts about the color wheel, but I thought I would give you my spin on it (ha! see what I did there, cringe!) Basically, use colors on your eyes that are opposite to your eye color, hence the colour wheel. I've been practicing and trying out different products that help my eyes stand out, and I've narrowed it down to; golds, blues, greens, purples and blacks. I've also tried to use a combination of the two, eg. green and purple, there are some amazing makeup tutorials on Youtube.

My favorite makeup look at the moment is using golds. I usually use the golden shade from my Naked palette, I've also been using Amber Lights from MAC. I use gold on the lid and along some of the lower lash line. I then use eyeliner on the tightline (sometimes liquid liner on the top) and tons of mascara. TA DA!

What's your favourite eye makeup look?

The " 5 Product Face"

Hopefully you guys have seen this tag going around and don't think I'm a little weird..
The tag is simple, pick 5 products to cover your whole face. I actually found this kind of easy because I like to keep the products to the minimum. I didn't include eyebrows, highlight, eyeliner or eyeshadow. So I guess it was a little difficult to cut out those products..  I tried to multitask with the blusher as it can be used as a blush or bronze?!
The products I used are shown below :)

From left to right;
  • Estee Lauder Double wear light
  • Loreal Lumi Magique highlighting pen
  • Rimmel Volume Flash ScandalEyes mascara
  • Sleek Nude blush in Suede
  • Loreal lipstick in 09 Cheeky Magenta
Thanks for reading :) I tag all of you!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Review

Hey guys, so here's another foundation review!
I have been using this foundation everyday for the past 2 weeks and I think it's enough time to give my personal thoughts on the product. I bought this for £29 from Boots ( A little pricey huh? ) and in the shade Intensity 1.0.  I think this shade is perfect for me when I haven't fake tanned AKA Au naturel ;).When I was browsing the high end counters in Boots for a new foundation, I kinda knew I wanted something from Estee Lauder. I wanted something long lasting, that didn't cake or go patchy. I have previously used the original Double Wear (in like 3 shades too dark) and so had a bad experience with it. But to find that they do a lighter version of the foundation made me want to give Estee another try.

Packaging
The packaging is VERY travel friendly, it's actually very small at just 30ml. Even though the foundation isn't in a pretty glass bottle, I feel that the foundation still looks classic and from an expensive brand.
The fact that it's a squeezy tube means that you can get every little bit of product out before chucking it in the bin.
Colour Range
I bought this foundation very quickly, and found it really easy to determine which shade would match my skin tone. I don't think there's a massive range of colours, but it's more like one shade could match a few skin tones.
Texture/Finish/Coverage
I would say the finish is semi-matte. I think it's similar to the original Double Wear. I have dry skin, yet I'm still able to wear this foundation no problem. Estee Lauder describe the foundation as "Sheer to light coverage" but I would say it's more light to medium.
Longevity
This was the most important factor when buying this foundation. This foundation is meant to last 15 hours, and I almost agree with this. Usually after a long day at work my foundation is melting and going patchy on my face. Yet Double Wear Light seems to last all day. I do think the foundation does "fade" throughout the day, and so it just looks like I have less foundation then I did at the beginning (which is expected).

So yea, these are my thoughts on the foundation. I do recommend this foundation to people that want a natural long lasting look. I give this foundation 4/5.
Have you tried any Estee Lauder foundations?
