"Friends With Benefits"

Ha..
From the title, you may think I've got some juicy goss to tell you, but I don't.
This is in fact.. A opinionated post on the friends with benefits situation. You're probably wondering do I agree with it?... HELL NO!

If you don't know what "FWB" is, well I describe it as friends using each other for sex etc. and I use the word using, because that's exactly how I see it!
I believe that if you can be that close/intimate with someone, then why not just be in a relationship? People use time as an excuse, but if you have the time to have a casual bonk (weird word) a couple times a week, then time isn't really the issue.
Now admittedly I've never tried the whole friends with benefits, because as you know I don't agree with it, but I have observed MANY times the situation unfold with lots of my close friends, and it always ends bad.

Many people decide to be FWB because they like the other person so much that they're willing to be a standby, hoping the other person will fall for them. I would say 8 times out of 10 one side of the FWB will have stronger feelings than the other side, so then people get HURT.
There are a lot of stupid (sorry) girls that think the guy is really interested in them if they're willing to sleep with them. Guys use girls - shock horror, and yes sometimes it's the other way round I know. But once a girl gives the goods a couple of times there's no mutual respect for each other. So now the relationship is left physical.

Reading this back I think I sound a bit old fashioned? don't get me wrong I would happily get with a guy that I'm not in a relationship with, but only with the know that it's going somewhere, ending in a relationship. If I know that it's not going anywhere, then what's the point?
So.. what are your thoughts on the situation, do you think FWB can work?

Blogging on the go...

I've had this little blogger app sitting on my iPhone for months, rarely used but never deleted..
Sometimes I get the urge to blog because I have an idea on a certain subject and really want to write it up/ take pictures, but by the time I've got to my laptop to write, it's usually too late and I am lost for Inspiration...

So yea I thought I would try out this app, I did try it out once before, and the pictures uploaded on my blog all blurry!! .. Annoying!
If somehow this comes up ok on my blog ill hope to update on some funny or interesting daily antics/ thoughts! Because  I love blogging!

Do you blog on the go?
Is there any apps I should look out for?

Fashion essentials for winter.

It’s the time of the year in which it’s safe to say summer is over. Whilst many of us are sad and depressed about it, there are many fashionistas looking forward to winter fashion. Those thoughts about wrapping up warm in the cosiest winter knits are so close by that the shops are reeling with the latest designs ready to grab just in time for us to forget summer even existed!
So, what should you be looking out for this winter you ask?

As I mentioned earlier, the “knitwear”- from Thick jumpers to waterfall effect cardi’s, they’re flocking into my wardrobe as quick as my tiny shorts I own are falling out. There are many Aztec designed jumpers here to stay this year,  aswell as Statement hoodies shouting things like “Love” in large font letters.

To go with the thick and fuzzy, you need warm footwear. A strong leather boot will always be a fashion essential, so any that are in your wardrobe from last winter- get em’ out! If you’re all about new things, then the high-street is reeling with their own take on the boot. If you’re not a leather lover, then there’s always the UGG style boot, who can’t love them on your feet when the temperatures are freezing? Whatever you wear on your feet this Winter – don’t wear thin shoes, it’s all about the statement footwear!

So there are a few of my essentials for Winter. Whatever you choose to wear, you can still look stylish whilst keeping warm..

(You may notice the style I wrote this in is very different to usual, I’m trying a new take  as I want to get into article writing for magazines/websites etc.)

Review: Impress Nails

Wow. That was my initial reaction when I applied this press on fake nails.
The product does what it says on the packaging, you literally peal off the sticky backing, and press the nails onto your own nails.

Ease of use: Very Very Easy, anyone one can do it! 5/5

Longevity: Bare in mind I'm comparing this to any other stick on/press on nails. I would say they last a couple of days! Longer then any other nails IVE applied. 3/5

Range of colors/designs: Amaze. I love that they do from natural to amazing nail designs! 4/5

Price: They sell for around £7.99 from Boots. I would say that they are a good price compared to how other fake nails sell for. But I think £7.99 is a bit expensive to pay for something that's only going to last a couple of days 4/5

Comfort: They are actually extremely comfortable if you match the correct sizes to your own nails. They are very strong, and it actually takes a lot to break them off on the first day. 4/5

So yea, if you was to ask me if I recommend them, I would say "of course!" You even get around 6 spares for if a nail breaks off!

OOTD: Wedding Guest #2

Hey guys, so I recently went to a wedding, and so wanted to update you on what I wore!
It was more of a casual wedding, and I only went to the reception, so didn't want to be too dressy!

The dress was from AX Paris ( A last min buy) and was £28. I also wore nude heels from New Look  to finish it off.. Simple is best sometimes?

What do you guys think of my outfit?

Is there any online shops you recommend to buy dresses?

Just To Say: I'm Really Loving Blogging!

When I thought I would try the whole blogging scene again, I never would think I would love it so much.

There are many people that unfortunately blog "for the sake of it" just to get followers, and make money, but I genuinely think I have finally found A HOBBY!
When filling out application forms for jobs etc, there has always been that dreaded question that always popped up " hobbies and interests?"  I always had put down  something like shopping or reading. A bit lame really?

But because my blog is MINE and I can put whatever content I want with delight, it gives me something to take charge of on a weekly/daily basis!
So yea, I thought I would put it out there that I am blogging because I enjoy it, and hope my content can improve!

I also enjoy sharing aspects of my life, and find it really therapeutic to talk about some of my problems, or even to give advice to others. [Inserting a random photo from my phone]

Other then liking the writing aspects of being a blogger, I actually am impressed with the blogging community. You do get the odd hater, or people that only want to use you to follow their blog, but other than that everyone is so friendly and supportive.

I have some quick questions for any of you reading/commenting on this post:

1. What makes you want to follow A blog?
2. How often do you update your blog?
3. What type posts do you prefer to read? eg. Beauty/Fashion/Chatty/Life updates

Thanks guys<3 br="" nbsp=""> Love Laura xxx

Also I want to add (for respect) because I'm posting on "9/11", I just want to say that 12 years on, the people that suffered will never be forgotten.  x

My Everyday Makeup Essentials | Basics

Hey guys, so whilst doing my makeup, I realized that I only stick to very few of the SAME products daily..

I thought this is a good post to write for people who are going back to school, or people that are new to makeup, or even people who love to be nosy about other peoples makeup! ( I know I am)
Now from the image above, I only photographed a couple of the products I use daily, I actually use a few more then shown. Shhh
So to make this post really easy and quick to read, I'm going to bullet point my basics and what I use :)

  • Moisturize - Origins Gin Zing
  • Concealer - Collection 2000
  • Foundation - Chanel Vitaluminere Aqua
  • Powder - MAC Mineralized Skin Finish
  • Bronzer - Rimmel Sun Shimmer
  • Gel Eyliner - Lloreal
  • Eyeshadow Pencil - 2 in 1 gel  Maxfactor color: unknown but it's a beautiful bronze
  • Mascara - Rimmel ScandalEyes

So yea guys they are my everyday essentials! You may notice that I didn't add anything for eyebrows, that's because in my opinion unless your eyebrows are bad and uncontrollable, you don't need to do them everyday!

Also, take a peak at a "sorting" draw of mine; just a little bit messy! ....

I have some sort of storage system for my makeup at the moment which is this plastic case thing from a craft store, I am thinking about buying the muji storage as I think it looks really ugly at the moment ;/

I will do an update when I eventually purchase a new way to sort out my makeup storage as I have a huge drawful of makeup that does not fit into this storage system!

Thanks for reading :)

Origins Skincare

Hey guys, so I know it’s named “skincare” but actually I’m only going to talk about 2 products! I bought them a couple of weeks ago, and I really want to rave about them.

Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
This is a mask in which you apply overnight..Duh! the name haha. This has Hyaluronic Acid and many other moisturising ingredients. This is a great one of course for people with dry skin, but I reckon even people with oily skin can use it; this is because in the morning my skin is left feeling “plump” and not greasy at all!

£22 at Boots

Gin Zing Energy Boosting Moisturizer
This has been raved about sooooo much! So as A blogger, I did what I do best, and purchased it of course! The smell is amazing, orangey smell which matches the packaging to a tee. This doesn't feel like a cheap product when I apply it (it isn’t cheap) and it’s a great way to start of my makeup! I think it is brightening up my complexion as well.

£23 at Boots
What's your favourite skincare products?
